AgileEngine is seeking a Business Analyst to assess existing reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance model across a broad stakeholder community.

This role focuses on interviewing stakeholders, mapping requirements, and delivering a consolidated reporting portfolio with clear ownership and governance. You will drive improvements across business, technology, data, and risk stakeholders, delivering sustainable reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of business analysis experience.
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate requirements workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing an existing reporting or analytics portfolio.
• Translate complex business needs into structured business and functional requirements.
• Experience developing process maps, requirements docs, reporting inventories, and roadmaps.
• Strong analytical skills to identify duplication, gaps, and simplifications.
• Ability to work across business, tech, data, and risk stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of existing reports, dashboards, metrics, and reporting artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business needs and use cases.
• Assess reporting for relevance, duplication, usability, consistency, and value.
• Identify reporting gaps and reports no longer serving the business.
• Develop recommendations to retain, enhance, consolidate, replace, or decommission reports.
• Identify stakeholder groups and personas consuming or producing reporting.
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to understand objectives and outcomes.
• Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined business and functional requirements.
• Reconcile competing requirements and establish a consolidated view of demand.
• Maintain traceability between business needs, requirements, reports, metrics, and outcomes.
• Develop a target-state reporting portfolio based on requirements.
• Define reports to address unmet needs and enhancements or consolidations.
• Prioritize requirements by value, risk, and dependencies.
• Develop a roadmap for transitioning from current to future state.
• Establish ownership and accountability for reports, data sources, and requirements.
• Define standards for documentation, reporting definitions, data lineage, and metadata.
• Establish a process for changes to reports and requirements.
• Define periodic review cycles for usage, relevance, and improvement opportunities.
• Establish governance for report retirement and portfolio management.
• Maintain a reporting catalog with ownership, purpose, and status.
