Job summary

Cronoshare.Com is seeking a Route and Logistics Planner for our Goods Transport division. This role is fully remote within Spain and focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing transportation routes to maximize efficiency and on-time deliveries using routing software and real-time data.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and capable of collaborating with dispatchers, drivers, and service teams to ensure smooth execution and regulatory compliance from any location in Spain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics planning, route optimization, or transportation management.
• Proficiency with route planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent understanding of logistics operations and freight transportation principles.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with remote teams.
• Familiarity with Spanish transportation laws and regulations.
• High school diploma required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly transportation routes for our fleet, considering delivery windows, vehicle capacity, and driver hours.
• Utilize routing software and GPS technology to create efficient delivery sequences.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, drivers, and customer service teams to ensure smooth route execution.
• Monitor real-time delivery progress and adjust routes for unforeseen events (traffic, weather, vehicle issues).
• Ensure routes comply with transportation regulations including hours of service.
• Generate reports on route performance, mileage, fuel consumption, and on-time delivery rates.
• Maintain up-to-date route information in the transportation management system (TMS).
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans for route disruptions.
