Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Offshore Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will supervise safe, efficient operation of wind assets from a remote hub, guiding commissioning and service phases, diagnosing issues, and driving continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, read electrical schematics, leverage SCADA data, and support global grid operations. Fluent English required; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting of technical findings and process improvement.
• Support grid outage responses with safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/holidays.
