Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee offshore wind asset operations from a centralized center, collaborating with site teams and engineers to ensure safe, reliable performance.

The role covers commissioning and service phases, remote diagnostics, issue resolution, data analysis, and process improvements, with a rotating shift and occasional on-call responsibilities. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot on-site.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
