Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center to oversee offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will monitor turbine performance, analyze alarms, and coordinate remote diagnostics to ensure safe, efficient operation.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with site teams, engineers, and control room staff, guiding troubleshooting efforts, documenting issues, and driving continuous improvement across commissioning and service phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays.
