Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in wind energy. You will monitor offshore wind assets, analyze alarms, and guide remote diagnostics to maintain turbine reliability.

You bring a engineering degree, hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical experience, strong problem-solving, and fluent English; travel up to 20% and EU relocation to Barcelona are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
Fluent English, willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
Availability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on rotating weekday shift with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
