Job summary

Zyte is seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage the Core & MLOps Squad, building scalable infrastructure that powers Zyte's data tools at scale. You will lead a cross‑functional team across MLOps, systems programming, and orchestration, designing and maintaining a secure, multi‑tenant model platform with robust serving patterns and monitoring.

You will drive roadmap, mentor engineers, and set high standards for reliability, cost governance, and platform adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience building distributed systems.
• 3+ years in MLOps/ML platform engineering (or equivalent impact).
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes (bonus: Mesos).
• Demonstrated success leading technical teams and implementing organization-wide platform solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the core platform (Kubernetes, Mesos, GPU scheduling/autoscaling, distributed compute).
• Own the model platform: registry, experiment tracking, training orchestration, evaluation, serving, and monitoring.
• Build the Golden Path: reference repos, a scaffold CLI, CI/CD pipelines, runtime contracts, high-performance clients, and production-ready defaults.
• Operate a secure, multi-tenant model registry and training platform with standardized harnesses; provide turnkey serving patterns and monitoring.
