Job summary

ZINIO, based in Barcelona, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, operate, secure, and improve our infrastructure and production systems. The role combines DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure security with a focus on automation, observability, scalability, reliability, and secure operations.

You will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to automate processes, enhance deployment and recovery, and address issues to ensure reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux-based systems.
• Strong networking knowledge: DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP, load balancing.
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Experience with Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible for IaC.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• CI/CD pipelines and observability experience.
• Security-minded with vulnerability management and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve infrastructure across cloud and internal environments.
• Design and maintain production systems meeting availability and scalability requirements.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, deployments, and operational processes.
• Manage servers, applications, containers, networking, and infrastructure services.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Define and maintain deployment, rollback, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices.
• Define and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and system performance metrics.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct capacity planning, scalability testing, and performance analysis.
• Work with development teams to improve application reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
• Identify and address infrastructure and application security risks.
• Implement security controls across infrastructure, cloud services, networks, applications, and deployment pipelines.
• Manage access controls, secrets, credentials, certificates, and other security mechanisms.
• Support vulnerability management, security hardening, patching, and security incident response.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and runbooks.
• Contribute to improvements in infrastructure architecture, reliability, security, and operational processes.
