Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a part-time security engineering leader to elevate an established tech organization’s security posture. You will shape strategy, establish controls, and prioritize initiatives by business risk, blending hands-on cloud/app security with governance and compliance.

You will guide developers in secure coding, DevSecOps, and incident readiness while aligning with GDPR, Australian Privacy Act, and regional privacy laws across Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on security engineering experience in cloud, application security, and DevSecOps.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Ability to translate technical findings into practical, prioritized recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop a security roadmap balancing enterprise needs with speed of delivery.
• Mentor IT and engineering teams on secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
• Lead security governance, incident readiness, and policy development.
• Coordinate privacy and security requirements across international operations.
