Prowler is an open source seed-stage startup revolutionizing cloud security infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer - Team Lead to guide security research, software engineering, and community efforts as we build industry-leading cloud protection.

You will lead a distributed team, conduct cloud threat research, develop scalable controls, and contribute to the security roadmap while mentoring engineers in a fully remote environment with strong PTO and stock options.

Formación

• Cloud Security Expertise: 6+ years in Cybersecurity with 3+ years in Cloud Security ecosystems.
• Technical Leadership: 2-3+ years leading engineering or research teams and agile security projects.
• Cloud Architecture & IAM Mastery: deep CSP APIs, IAM models across major providers, strong networking basics.
• Attacker/Defender Mindset: adversarial mindset with cloud attack methodologies and vulnerability research.
• Coding Excellence: Python proficiency with scalable, well-documented code.
• Cloud-Native & Infrastructure: containers, orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and OS architectures.
• Automation & CI/CD: IaC with HashiCorp or cloud templates; deployment automation in CI/CD.
• Communication Skills: translate security threats into business insights for leadership.
• Startup DNA: ownership, remote work effectiveness, strong English fluency.

Responsabilidades

• Innovate with the Customer in Mind: translate risks into scalable solutions for cloud protection leadership.
• Team Leadership & Execution: lead, mentor, and grow a team of cloud security engineers and researchers.
• Pioneer Cloud Threat Research: review architectures across cloud ecosystems and Kubernetes to uncover threat vectors.
• Develop Scalable Security Controls: create detection features integrated into the Prowler product.
• Advanced Threat Modeling: analyze complex cloud architectures and AI/LLM infrastructures.
• Drive the Security Roadmap: contribute to strategic architectural decisions and product roadmap.
• Champion Engineering Excellence: enforce code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices.
• Elevate Industry Standards: keep team at forefront with latest trends in cloud security.
• Community & Thought Leadership: engage with Prowler community and external representation.
