Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer (Governance ML Platform) to design and operate production-grade ML infrastructure for AI governance and trust.

This remote role spans model serving, evaluation, red-teaming, monitoring, retraining, and safe deployment within an international team. You will translate ML research into reliable, low-latency systems with strong audit controls, build telemetry pipelines from production data, and collaborate across engineering to advance

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of professional ML software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with ML model serving for low-latency production workloads.
• Experience with evaluation pipelines, registries, and governance-focused ML systems.
• Experience designing red-team or adversarial testing in CI/CD gated workflows.
• Knowledge of drift monitoring and shadow deployment strategies.
• Strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Security-first mindset for audited or compliance-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Own ML infrastructure supporting governance models, including serving, evaluation, monitoring, red-teaming, and continuous improvement.
• Build low-latency model-serving systems and evaluation pipelines for production workloads.
• Develop and manage model registries and lifecycle infrastructure.
• Translate research models into production with techniques like quantization and distillation.
• Implement drift-monitoring and shadow deployment to validate new versions safely.
• Create telemetry-to-training pipelines from production signals and audit data.
• Design red-team testing infrastructure, including attack orchestration and CI gates.
• Establish self-improvement workflows for data curation, retraining, validation, and rollout.
• Implement safeguards and deployment controls for auditable ML operations.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to advance AI agent infrastructure and governance.
• Contribute to engineering culture through documentation, testing, and monitoring.
