Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert (MSc or PhD) for a remote contractor role based in Spain. You will apply advanced mechanical engineering, analytical modeling, and simulation across structural, thermal, and multiphysics domains to support AI training tasks and validation.

This is a fully remote, part-time engagement (≈15 hours per week) with an initial 12-month term. Compensation ranges from $60 to $120 per hour.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application to complex problems.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based solutions.
• Understanding of design, physical modeling, and validation workflows.
• Ability to translate physical requirements into mathematical/computational representations.
• Familiarity with geometry, meshes, materials, loads, boundary conditions, solver setup.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, and R&D.
• Translate physical systems, design specs, and requirements into analytical or computational models.
• Develop, modify, and evaluate geometry and meshes for simulation tasks.
• Configure materials, loads, boundary conditions, contacts, and solver inputs.
• Conduct simulations across structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics applications.
• Evaluate results to ensure models comply with physical laws and design constraints.
• Create and refine tasks to support AI training and evaluation.
• Apply coding-heavy workflows to develop computational solutions and automate processes.
• Use AI coding agents to support implementation and validation.
• Identify errors or limitations in models and propose corrections.
