Lever, Inc. is seeking a Director of Data Engineering based in Spain for a fully remote, high-trust, fast-moving data leadership role. You will own the data roadmap, architecture, and company-wide data model, delivering a trusted single source of truth and guiding AI-enabled data practices.

You will lead a small engineering team, modernize pipelines, improve data quality, governance, and observability while collaborating across ERP integrations and enterprise systems.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering with leadership
• Proven experience building and scaling cloud-based data platforms
• Strong SQL and Python with data modeling experience (dbt or similar)

Responsabilidades

• Own the data roadmap, architecture, and company-wide data model as a trusted source of truth
• Modernize legacy data jobs and scale the data platform
• Ensure resilient, accurate data pipelines across the organization
• Establish data quality, governance, monitoring, and observability
• Manage warehouse and infrastructure costs as data volumes grow
• Lead sprint planning, prioritize requests by business impact, and coach a small team
• Stay hands-on when needed, contributing to architecture and platform improvements
• Integrate ERP and other enterprise systems into the data warehouse
• Introduce AI-native practices to improve development and data quality
