Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for our global data centers. You will handle hardware installation, troubleshooting, and network operations with independence while coordinating with remote teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations and maintenance.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot servers and networking gear.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience with Linux and Windows systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnosing issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices, including Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage Linux and Windows-based systems, applying updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance reports for the remote team.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive efficiency and innovation.
