Fundraise Up is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the engine powering our global nonprofit fundraising platform. You will work on a high-load, distributed system and own critical backend components, with a cutting-edge stack including Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Kafka, Bull/Redis, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.

Formación

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Node.js proficiency with modern frameworks (Koa/NestJS).
• Deep TypeScript expertise including advanced typing and modules.
• Solid experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Bull/Redis.
• Strong system design, clean architecture principles, and performance focus.
• Ability to work independently and own projects.
• Comfortable working in a Russian-speaking team.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop new product features from concept to deployment with product managers and frontend engineers.
• Own key backend architecture decisions to improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure quality.
• Identify and implement system improvements; refactor legacy code when needed.
• Mentor teammates and share engineering practices across the team.
• Actively use AI in daily work to improve problems and outcomes.
