Fundraise Up is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help power a global fundraising platform. You will design and scale services using Node.js, Koa/NestJS, and TypeScript, handling millions of donations with reliable architecture and high throughput.

You will work with MongoDB, Kafka, and Redis-based tooling while collaborating with product and frontend teams to deliver impactful features in a distributed, remote-first environment.

Formación

• 7+ years of backend development experience in product teams.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript proficiency across modern frameworks.
• Experience with MongoDB, Kafka, and search analytics tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Own key backend components, optimise performance and reliability.
• Develop features from concept to deployment with product teams.
• Write tests, review code, and drive code quality.
• Refactor legacy code and mentor teammates to raise engineering standards.
• Contribute to engineering excellence and AI-enabled workflows.
