Ampstek is seeking an experienced ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production ML systems, with a focus on LLM-based applications and retrieval augmented generation. The role emphasizes hands-on modeling, embedding techniques, and scalable AI solutions.

You will work in a fully remote, globally distributed team, collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to communicate modeling choices, trade-offs, and deliver robust AI services using Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/ML/Math or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-5 years of professional software engineering, with at least 2 years shipping ML/AI systems in production.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications using major model providers (Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or open-source models).
• Practical RAG and embeddings experience, including at least one production vector store.
• Proficiency in Python and core ML libraries (PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy).
• Solid command of Git and PR-based code review.
• Hands-on experience deploying services on Azure and with containerization (Docker).
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain modeling decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fully remote, globally distributed team.
