Zurich Insurance Group's ServiZurich unit in Barcelona is offering a paid Compliance Internship for university students.

Based in Via Augusta, Barcelona, the role supports the Europe and Middle East Regional Compliance Team, with hybrid working hours up to 30 per week.

You will gain hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, data analysis, and collaboration with experts.

Formación

• Active student status with a Spanish University/School is mandatory.
• Good English speaker.
• Interest in Insurance and Compliance world including regulatory compliance, risk management and governance.
• Strong Analytical and technical skills with Excel/Power BI.
• Organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Available for at least a 6-month part-time internship.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, capable, and eager to learn.
• A good team player with a responsible, can-do attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Support the EME Regional Compliance Team across multiple Business Units.
• Collaborate on projects implementing new regulations across EME.
• Help deploy innovative solutions scaled regionally and globally.
• Assist in Regional risk assessments including quality assessment of Local Assessments.
• Participate in quarterly reporting and data analysis.
• Work with local and group compliance teams.
• Develop understanding of DPRM and applicable laws.
• Gain real-world experience and grow skills.
• Contribute to a team valuing input and creativity.
• Exposure to senior stakeholders and local officers across EME.

As a Compliance Intern you will have the opportunity to:

• Support the Europe and Middle East (EME) Regional Compliance Team in overseeing the different Business Units.
• Collaborate on exciting projects, such as implementation of new regulations across EME countries, reviewing existing frameworks, bringing fresh ideas to the table on how to streamline different processes
• Help in the development and deployment of innovative solutions to be scaled Regionally and Globally.
• Assist in the Regional Compliance risk assessment process including quality assessment of Local Assessments and risk analysis.
• Involvement in Quarterly reporting including analysing data and report writing and Planning process using AI solutions.
• Work alongside experts in local and group compliance teams and engage with and support local teams.
• Develop an understanding of Compliance Risk Universe Topics, e.g. Data protection and records management (DPRM) and applicable, laws and regulations.
• Enhance your skills with real-world experience
• Contribute to a team that values your input and creativity
• Exposure to Senior Group Stakeholders and Local Compliance Officers and Teams across EME.

• Active student status with a Spanish University/School is mandatory. Good English speaker,
• Business, Risk Management or Legal Degree (Masters)
• Interest in the Insurance and Compliance world including regulatory compliance, risk management and governance.
• Strong Analytical and technical skills (Microsoft Excel/Power BI/Powerpoint/ Copilot/Claude)
• Organisational skills and attention to detail
• Risk awareness and analytical thinkingGood communication and flexibility and adaptability to different tasks
• Available for at least a 6-month part-time/internship program.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, capable, and eager to learn.
• A good team player with a responsible, can-do attitude.
