Qualifications

Bachelor’s or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or 2+ years in related field.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred with 1+ years in related field.
1–2 years experience in Investment Operations, Banking or Insurance.

Responsibilities

Our Opportunity

The main responsibility of this role is to perform and oversees processing, posting, and clearing of transactions, payments, and corporate actions to ensure correct, complete, and timely position management for standard processes. Performs and oversees control activities for standard processes in accordance to required timelines.

As an Investment Operations Staff your main responsibilities will involve:

Responsible for correct daily processing, posting, and clearing of securities transactions, and income payments. Generates insights and recommendations by addressing technical queries from different Local Operations teams (LOPs) and delivering Standard solutions.
Support Local operations team’s timely month end closing activities.
Periodic reconciliation of securities holdings and cash account holdings.
Supports trouble shooting standard operational day-to-day issues identified by the operations department or referred from other functional areas, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service, including the management of issues according to the Group Incident Management Policy.
Support the provision of key performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to optimize business performance in line with set objectives around automation.

As an Investment Operations Staff your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or 2 or more years of experience in related field.
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred and 1 or more years of experience in related field
1/2 years practical experience in Investment Operations, Banking, or Insurance
Fundamental knowledge of most common asset classes in traditional and non-traditional financial instruments, risks, and markets.
Manages relationships with internal stakeholders, key business partners, asset managers, and custodians.
Independent worker who can take responsibility for the team, leads by example, strengthens the knowledge and competencies of the Shared Operations (SHOPs) team members. Be confident working in a self-organized team according to agile culture.
Analytical problem-solving skills
To be willing to gain new skills and experiences, but also share your knowledge across the team.
To show commitment to your job and have a shareholder-value oriented mindset.
Coordinates collaboration across the team and Develops expertise within the department.
Proactively contribute and collaborate with the automation capability community.

Additional Education / Experience

Experience in collaborative projects and/ or initiatives in automation
Keen on languages and cross-cultural integration
Interested about investments and keen on exploring new technology solutions
Curious and innovative mindset and previous experience working with IA tools would be valuated.
