Job summary

Siemens Mobility, S.L.U. in Madrid seeks an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and secure the platforms that support critical railway signaling solutions.

You will work across physical and virtual environments, maintain high availability, and collaborate with cybersecurity, validation, and operations teams. You will implement automated deployment and update procedures, optimise capacity and performance, and contribute to architecture documentation and reusable engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting hardware-intensive infrastructures.
• Strong GNU/Linux administration and Bash scripting skills.
• Understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and secure platform infrastructures for rail signalling solutions.
• Ensure high availability, interoperability, and maintainability of critical systems.
• Develop automated, version-controlled installation, configuration, and recovery procedures.
• Build pre-production environments and apply security hardening (SELinux, firewalls, certificates).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
