Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking an ETCS Trackside Design Engineer to shape the future of railway signaling. You will execute application engineering for critical wayside subsystems, ensuring safe operation across national and international networks.

In this role, you will drive the design phase for hardware and software, review interface specs, and contribute to test plans to guarantee system reliability. Hybrid work and global collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering as specified.
• Experience in Rail Signaling with ETCS or ASFA.
• Proven experience in Requirements Management using DOORS.
• Knowledge of CENELEC standards and V-model life cycle processes.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements to deliver safe ETCS sub-system solutions.
• Drive design phase for hardware and software application engineering with detailed diagnostics.
• Create and review interface specifications between ETCS, other subsystems and rolling stock.
• Prepare precise technical documentation per project requirements and railway regulations.
• Support test specification creation and execution of static and dynamic tests.
