Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks an ETCS Software Engineer to configure wayside ETCS equipment for national and international Main Line projects, ensuring trains move safely with the latest failsafe technology.

Responsibilities include ETCS sub-system behavior, configuration engineering, testing support, ATC cycle from requirements to commissioning, and documentation aligned with standards; English is required; Spanish is a plus. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
• Experience in Rail Signaling, specifically with ATC technologies (ERTMS, ASFA).
• Knowledge of SUBSET 026, 039, and 040 and CENELEC standards.
• Strong data handling with Excel and VBA.
• Fluency in English for international projects.
• Spanish language knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert for ETCS sub-system behavior, engineering rules, and data preparation tools.
• Engineer ETCS-specific configuration based on project requirements and maintain software within budget and milestones.
• Support testing, verification, and safety teams with software configuration issues and log analysis.
• Drive all phases of the ATC application engineering cycle from requirements to commissioning.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation in line with project requirements and regulations.
