Job summary

Siemens Mobility, S.L.U. in Madrid is seeking an Engineering Cybersecurity Specialist for Rail Signalling.

You will protect OT and industrial systems across global railway projects, coordinating cybersecurity throughout the project lifecycle to ensure secure-by-design signaling solutions and high availability. This mid-level role combines security planning, risk analysis, and collaboration with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical expertise.
• Typically 3+ years in cybersecurity engineering, OT security, or system engineering within critical infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of defence-in-depth, network segmentation, vulnerability management, and secure system integration.
• Ability to balance strict cybersecurity objectives with the safety, legacy, and lifecycle constraints of railway operations.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to take ownership of complex challenges and communicate solutions clearly.
• Fluency in English (C1) and the willingness to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Protect OT and industrial systems across railway infrastructure.
• Coordinate cybersecurity across the project lifecycle to ensure secure-by-design signaling solutions.
• Prepare and maintain cybersecurity plans, risk analyses, and requirements from customer specifications.
• Harmonise inputs into a coherent set of requirements and allocate to systems and suppliers.
• Interface with customers, Siemens stakeholders, and partners to align security expectations with proposals.
• Define and implement security controls and defence-in-depth concepts.
