IDOM Madrid is seeking a senior systems specialist to lead the design, integration and delivery of telecom, control and cybersecurity systems for major railway programmes. The role sits in the Railway Systems Area and requires hands-on technical leadership across the full lifecycle.

You will coordinate interfaces with civil, signalling, power and rolling stock teams, drive technical reviews, manage risks and mentor multidisciplinary engineers on site and in international projects.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent (preferred).
• Membership of recognised professional body (e.g. IET, IEEE).
• Minimum 12–15+ years' experience in railway telecom and control systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and integration of telecom and control systems across the programme.
• Oversee subsystems including Data Communication Network, CCTV, SCADA, PAs and more.
• Manage interfaces with signalling, traction power, civil and rolling stock systems.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and project-specific requirements.
• Lead technical reviews, assurance and validation of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with client, contractors, OEMs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities on site.
• Manage technical risks and ensure system performance and safety.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
