NN Digital Hub Iberia S.L. in Madrid is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to design, implement and automate tests across frontend and backend systems within an insurance/banking context.

You will review requirements, create test plans, develop automation scripts, and coordinate with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality software releases. The role requires strong English communication, hands-on automation experience (PlayWright, Cypress) and familiarity with API testing, SQL,

• Work experience in insurance & banking sector in software quality assurance.
• Strong communication skills in English (both speaking & writing).
• Hands-on experience in automation framework development using testing tools.
• Familiar with GUI/API testing focusing on frontend portals and backend systems.
• Understanding of TypeScript/JavaScript and best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using NN tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new/existing products.
• Liaise with developers and product managers to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Track QA metrics like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.

Your Impact as Quality Assurance Engineer

The QA Engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process, responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions, review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts) Conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.
• Providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems.
• Monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
• To develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

Who you are?

Work experience in insurance & banking sector in software quality assurance. Strong communication skills in English ( both speaking & writing ) Hands on experience in development and maintenance of automation frameworks using functional testing tools like PlayWright & Cypress. Familiar with both GUI/API testing focussing on front end web portal test systems & back-end systems. Understanding TypeScript/JavaScript/Phython including its features, syntax, and best practices. Familiar with API testing tools ( Postman, Bruno ) and REST/SOAP API concepts. Familiar with SQL queries required for DDBB level testing. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
