Job summary

Verisure in Alicante is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen quality practices within the IT Sales, Alliances & Marketing BP. You will design and maintain automated testing solutions, working with Product Owners, developers and infrastructure in a Scrum environment to ensure quality from requirements through release.

The role covers UI and API testing, BDD, CI/CD, performance testing, and exploring AI-enabled approaches like Copilot to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands‑on QA automation experience.
• Strong UI automation and API testing experience.
• Experience with BDD, CI/CD, and performance testing.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages (JavaScript/Java/Ruby/Python).
• Experience in Agile environments with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

About The Role

We now have the opportunity for a QA Automation Engineer to join our Technology Department and help strengthen quality practices within IT Sales, Alliances & Marketing BP.

Location

Verisure Tech Hub - Alicante.

The role will be based at our new technology site in Alicante. Backed by over 1,700 technologists worldwide and powered by one of Europe’s largest IoT platforms.

Your Future Team

You will join the IT Sales, Alliances & Marketing BP team, working closely with Product Owners, developers, infrastructure and service teams, and tech leads in a Scrum-based Agile environment. The team ensures quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements and test design through automation, release readiness and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

• Design, maintain and continuously improve automated testing solutions, ensuring product quality and alignment with business and customer requirements.
• Define and execute testing strategies across functional, regression, API and non-functional testing, identifying risks and ensuring release readiness.
• Work closely with Product Owners, developers and other stakeholders to embed quality‑by‑design throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
• Scale test automation and explore AI-enabled approaches, including GitHub Copilot and other automation assistants, to improve testing efficiency and technical workflows.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a QA Automation Engineer or in a similar Quality Assurance role.
• Strong experience in UI test automation, API testing, BDD, CI/CD pipelines and performance/non‑functional testing.
• Solid knowledge of QA best practices, test strategy and design, defect analysis, test reporting and release readiness.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages and web technologies such as JavaScript, Java, Ruby or Python.
• Experience working within Agile environments, ideally Scrum or Lean, and collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
