SLS Barcelona is seeking a Purchasing Agent Intern to join our team in Barcelona. You will support the Purchasing Manager in PO closures, data updates in ADACO, and inventory control for food, beverage, and general supplies.

Ideal candidates are hospitality students fluent in Spanish and English, able to manage documentation, stock, and requisitions, and committed to learning SLS’s luxury culture and processes. This internship offers hands-on experience in a premium hotel setting.

Formación

• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Strong organizational and data-entry abilities are desired.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with closing Purchase Orders under supervision.
• Support updating data in the ADACO system to ensure accuracy.
• Check daily receiving and storage procedures for compliance.
• Receive, document, store and issue all goods and materials.
• Verify products are received and stored according to guidelines.
• Issue stock to departments and maintain requisition records.
• Maintain accurate storeroom inventory and labeling.

Say farewell to the ordinary, and hello to the extraordinary! We are looking for a Purchasing Agent Intern to be part of the team at SLS Barcelona.

Under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the storage, distribution, maintenance and accounting of food and beverage, general supplies and maintaining the cleanliness of the storage area according to standards:

• Assist with the closing of Purchase Orders (POs) under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, ensuring that all relevant documentation and procedures are properly completed.
• Support the Purchasing team in updating and maintaining data in the ADACO system, ensuring that information is accurate and up to date.
• Check receiving and storage procedures daily to ensure they are being followed.
• Be responsible for receiving, documenting, storing and issuing all goods and materials ordered.
• Verify that products are received, issued, documented, stored and ordered according to company guidelines.
• Issue received goods to the appropriate departments.
• Issue stock and supplies to staff submitting duly approved requisition forms, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Keep requisition forms on file, ensuring they are properly completed and acknowledged by the requesting party.
• Ensure that all items stored in freezers are properly packed in plastic bags and appropriately labeled.
• Coordinate with other departments on warehouse operational matters when necessary.
• Keep the shipping and receiving log up to date.
• Take and maintain an accurate inventory of storeroom products.
• You´re studying a bachelor´s/master´s degree in hospitality or a related field.
• You have the possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
