Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining all public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms and lounges, while upholding the hotel's luxury standards.

You will work in shifts (day, afternoon, night) and communicate in Spanish and English, ensuring guest privacy and following Do Not Disturb policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the same or similar role is preferred.
• Basic communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to work in shifts (day, afternoon, night).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms and lounges.
• Address spills, smudges and debris promptly in high-traffic areas.
• Sanitise and restock restrooms with supplies.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
• Support deep-cleaning schedules and special projects for upkeep.
• Respect guest privacy and follow the Do Not Disturb policy.
• Follow hygiene, safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Use cleaning supplies responsibly with sustainability in mind.
• Perform other duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives by proper waste separation and policies.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Public Areas Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and lounges.

As Public Areas Attendant, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• To clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and lounges.

• To ensure high-traffic areas remain spotless, addressing spills, smudges, and debris immediately.

• To sanitise and restock restrooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies.

• To monitor and report maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, spills, or damages, to the appropriate department.

• To support deep-cleaning schedules and special projects, ensuring long-term upkeep of public areas.

• To respect guest privacy, following the "Do Not Disturb" policy and handling guest belongings with care.

• To follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols, ensuring a clean and secure work environment.

• To use cleaning supplies responsibly, adhering to sustainability and cost-control measures.

• To perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.

• Contribute to the hotel’s sustainability initiatives by ensuring the proper separation and handling of waste, and by supporting the established environmental policies.

As Public Areas Attendant, weexpectfrom you:

Experience and education
