Airpelago is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead drone-based power line inspection projects across Spain and Europe. Based in Madrid, you will coordinate with teams in France, Sweden, England, and Germany to deliver high-quality inspections for electricity grid operators.

You will manage project planning, regulatory compliance, and reporting, while guiding drone pilots and ensuring safety and standards across operations. The role offers growth and frequent travel across Europe.

Formación

• An interest in project management within an industrial context.

Responsabilidades

• Plan the project with technical teams in Sweden and drone pilots to meet specifications and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Airpelago standards and procedures.
• Monitor operational and financial performance; propose corrective actions.
• Set up reporting mechanisms for the client and internal teams (Sales, Product, etc.).
• Provide field support to drone pilots and improve their performance and conditions.
• Organize logistics to supply pilots with equipment to deliver services.
• Promote safety and ISO standards compliance within the organization and providers.

Airpelago, a pioneering software company specializing in automation solutions for power line inspection by drone, is looking for a dynamic and enterprising person to join our Spanish teams based in Madrid, as a project manager.

About Airpelago

Airpelago has developed software that is revolutionizing power line inspection through drone technology. Our software ensures efficient, high-quality inspections with minimal environmental impact.

Airpelago now delivers overhead power line inspection services by drone in 12 European countries, employs more than 40 full-time staff and more than one hundred drone pilots ready to work on our inspection projects.

Airpelago was founded in Sweden in 2018. We are now the leaders in the Scandinavian market (mainly Sweden and Norway) for overhead power line inspections by drone. We are continuing our European expansion by setting up a French subsidiary based in Paris, a British subsidiary based in Nottingham, a German subsidiary and now a Spanish subsidiary.

We are looking for a motivated professional to play a key role in the development and growth of Airpelago in Spain.

Responsibilities

As project manager, you will be the guarantor of the operational excellence that has built our reputation, and the main point of contact for the clients you are responsible for. Alongside the Director of Southern European Operations based in Paris, you will be responsible for the power line inspection projects we carry out on behalf of electricity grid operators in Spain.

Your responsibilities include the following:

Project management

• Plan the project, in collaboration with the technical teams in Sweden and the drone pilots in the country concerned by the project, to meet the technical specifications and the client's scheduling constraints
• Ensure compliance with the standards and procedures put in place by Airpelago
• Ensure the operational and financial monitoring of the project and propose corrective actions when necessary
• Set up smooth reporting mechanisms for the client and Airpelago's internal teams (Sales, Product, etc.)
• Provide support to the drone pilots deployed by Airpelago in the field and propose actions to improve their performance and their day-to-day working conditions
• Organize logistics to ensure that drone pilots have the equipment they need to deliver inspection services to the client
• Promote a culture of workplace safety and standards compliance within the organization and its service providers (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

Regulatory compliance

• Stay informed and up to date on the latest drone regulations in the countries where projects take place, in order to guarantee the regulatory compliance of all our operations
• Work closely with regulatory bodies to anticipate and help shape the evolution of drone regulations
• Be the main point of contact for local aviation authorities and other airspace operators used by our pilots

Required skills

• An interest in project management in an industrial context
• Experience in project management involving the deployment of operations in an industrial context
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency with technology tools and platforms
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of aviation and drone-related technologies and regulations is a plus
