Transport for NSW is seeking a cost-estimator for project and maintenance work, based in Newcastle, NSW. You will prepare high-quality estimates, assess designs and schedules, and collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold tertiary qualifications in civil/structural engineering or related fields, with a willingness to travel and experience in transport infrastructure. The role supports cost efficiency and best practices across projects.

Formación

• Tertiary qualifications in civil/structural engineering, project management, quantity surveying or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and be away from home to support project needs.
• Experience in transport infrastructure construction or maintenance, ideally roads and bridges.
• Ability to interpret design drawings, schedules and cost estimates.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the estimating team and Project Managers by preparing high quality cost estimates for transport related projects and maintenance works.
• Review project requirements, scope of works, risk assessments, design information, and schedules to inform estimates and improve accuracy.
• Support procurement and project lifecycles through performance reviews, lessons learnt, reporting and market research for cost efficiencies.
• Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to stay up to date on market rates and benchmark costs.
• Role based in North Region - Newcastle (location negotiable within the Region).
