Horse Powertrain Ltd in Madrid seeks a Finance Controller to manage budgeting, forecasting and monthly financials for our Madrid base. You will partner with PM, Engineering and Sales Admin to ensure accurate costs, invoices, and governance. This role requires strong Excel skills, SAP experience, and fluent English.

You will lead budgeting, monitor variances, and drive corrective actions across projects, ensuring compliance and robust internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making.

Formación

• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP knowledge valued.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• English fluency in spoken and written.

Responsabilidades

• Liaise between Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Sales Admin, and Business Office.
• Lead annual budgeting process and align with long-term project commitments.
• Monitor budget, forecast and financial performance; drive corrective actions.
• Validate and track upfront project invoice payments.
• Ensure integration of RFQ inputs and cost changes.
• Manage monthly financial reporting across perimeters.
• Organize and participate in monthly project performance reviews.
• Oversee cost provisions, internal controls, and financial governance.

What you will be doing

• Act as the key liaison between Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Sales Administration, and Business Office teams.
• Lead the annual R&D budgeting process and ensure alignment with long‑term project commitments.
• Monitor budget, forecast, and financial performance, driving corrective actions when needed.
• Validate and track upfront project invoice payments.
• Ensure accurate integration of RFQ inputs and project cost changes.
• Manage monthly financial reporting across assigned perimeters.
• Organize and participate in monthly project performance reviews.
• Oversee cost provisions, internal controls, and financial governance compliance.

What we’re looking for

• A proven track record in cost controlling and financial performance management, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent skills in financial analysis and advanced Excel. SAP knowledge will be valued.
• Strong competencies in stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration, with a collaborative approach.
• Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
