Horse Technologies Division, part of Horse Powertrain, is seeking a Buyer to drive strategic sourcing across global suppliers in Madrid. You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, Strategy and other teams to secure cost efficiency, quality, and reliable supply.

The role requires strong negotiation, market analysis, and supplier relationship management, with 5+ years in procurement or commercial roles and fluent English. Occasional travel to other sites is possible.

Formación

• Strong expertise in sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation within global environments.
• Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into sourcing strategies.
• Experience in managing strategic supplier relationships and driving performance improvements.
• Focus on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery while balancing priorities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders; excellent communication.
• 5+ years in procurement/commercial roles; fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
• Proactive and solution-oriented, able to challenge status quo.
• Experience in aluminum production and casting operations is a plus.

Purpose

As a Buyer, you are responsible for executing strategic sourcing activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliable supply within your category. You collaborate with category managers and cross-functional teams to implement global strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead negotiations, contributing to a strong and competitive supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and continuously develop procurement activities within your assigned category
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and manage ongoing relationships
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, Strategy, etc.)
• Lead and execute commercial negotiations at a global level
• Support supplier development and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure alignment with global sourcing strategies and business objectives

Requirements

• Strong expertise in sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation within complex, global environments, ensuring competitive and reliable supplier bases
• Proven ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into effective, data-driven sourcing strategies that support business objectives
• Solid experience in managing and developing strategic supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and long-term value creation
• Strong business acumen with a clear focus on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery, while balancing commercial and operational priorities
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across different departments, supported by excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Analytical and results-oriented professional with over 5 years in procurement or commercial roles, a proactive and global business mindset, and full professional fluency in English, other language will be a plus
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to challenge the status quo
• Experience in aluminum production and casting operations will be plus
