Job summary

IREN Spain is seeking a Procurement Excellence Manager to build and run the backbone of the new Procurement & Supply Chain department. The role designs policy, procedures, approval and compliance framework, supplier qualification, and the systems landscape (SAP MM, Procore, CMMS).

You will deliver auditable, data-driven operations from day one. Reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, you will lead a small team and collaborate with Finance, Legal, Internal Audit and IT to align

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain; MBA is a plus.
• 8-10 years of procurement experience, including at least 4 years in procurement excellence, operations, governance or transformation in capital-intensive projects.
• Experience designing and implementing procurement policies, procedures and control frameworks, plus audits/compliance.
• Hands-on with SAP MM and e-procurement / construction platforms; experience with Procore and CMMS-awareness valued.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with Power BI and advanced Excel; experience building a reporting function from scratch.
• Experience leading small teams and stakeholder management with Finance, Legal, Audit and IT.
• Fluent Spanish and professional English; based in Madrid with occasional travel to Badajoz sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, document and roll out the procurement operating model for IREN Spain including policy, procedures and authority delegation.
• Own procurement compliance: monitor policy adherence, manage audits, close findings, and conduct ESG due-diligence for suppliers.
• Lead supplier qualification and performance programme: criteria, onboarding, checks, scorecards and reviews.
• Own procurement systems landscape: SAP MM governance, Procore implementation, integration with SAP and CMMS, user access and workflows.
• Build and run reporting: spend cube, savings methodology, KPIs, Power BI dashboards for management.
• Lead administrative pool: PO creation, supplier onboarding data, document management, travel coordination, invoice-mismatch resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement and change management: process reviews, training, onboarding, and communications.
• Interface with Finance, Internal Audit, Legal and IT for process and system matters.
