Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Principal Product Designer to own the design strategy for our WSJ enterprise products, guiding professional experiences that connect The Wall Street Journal with business audiences. You will shape multi‑year direction and collaborate with senior design, product, and business leaders to balance enterprise needs with consumer-grade craft.

You’ll lead patterns in our Index Design System, mentor senior designers, and ensure design quality across both professional and consumer

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience, including enterprise platforms.
• Strong systems thinking and experience with design systems.
• Proven ability to mentor designers and raise craft.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams.
• Experience shipping AI-assisted features and personalization.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic design direction for enterprise experiences.
• Own admin experiences, seats, and permissions across products.
• Collaborate with design, product, and business leaders across brands.
• Mentor senior designers and contribute to a scalable design system.
• Translate design strategy into business outcomes and metrics.
