Dow Jones is seeking a Principal Product Designer for Market Data to own the design strategy across The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, MarketWatch, and Investor's Business Daily. You will shape patterns for quotes, charts, tables, portfolios, and alerts, ensuring clarity and a seamless user experience across all brands.

You will lead design direction with senior leadership, tackle complex problems, and extend influence into professional and enterprise products.

Formación

• 10+ years of product design experience.
• Significant time owning complex, systems-level or platform work.
• Track record of setting design direction that spans multiple products or brands.
• Deep expertise designing data-rich experiences—financial data, analytics, dashboards, data visualization, or other complex information display.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design strategy for the Market Data platform across our financial brands.
• Shape strategy with senior leadership and present design direction to executives and leaders.
• Solve hard, ambiguous problems in the domain by developing new patterns for presenting complex financial information.
• Shape the market-data patterns in our Index Design System and establish standards for charts, tables, and real-time data.
• Extend influence beyond consumer brands into professional and enterprise products where data shapes the experience.
• Set a high bar for craft—typography, information density, motion, and accessibility of dense data.
• Connect design to outcomes by partnering with Research and analytics to tie decisions to engagement and subscription metrics.
• Mentor and grow senior designers across the financial brands.
