FUNDACION INSTITUTO INVESTIGACION SANITARIA FUNDACION JIMENEZ DIAZ in Spain invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) position in molecular oncology and breast cancer. The project investigates the Hippo signaling pathway and resistance to anti-HER2 therapies.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Biomedicine or related fields, with hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and transcriptomic analysis. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Formación

• Master's degree in Biomedicine or related fields.
• Research experience in oncology/biomedicine through employment, fellowship, or projects.
• Experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques (RT-qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence/IHC and/or flow cytometry).
• Experience in tumor microenvironment, CAFs, immune cells, co-culture models, breast cancer, therapy resistance or targeted therapies.
• Training or experience in transcriptomic analysis, RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq and/or bioinformatics tools (R, Python).
• Publications, conference communications and other scientific dissemination activities.
• Stays at national/international centres, private-sector experience, teaching, outreach and/or R&D management.
• Specific Requirements: University degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences or related fields.
• Fulfil the academic requirements for admission to an official PhD programme in Spain at the time of enrolment/contract formalisation.
• Languages ENGLISH Level Good
