FUNDACION INSTITUTO INVESTIGACION SANITARIA FUNDACION JIMENEZ DIAZ in Spain invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) position. The role targets individuals with a strong academic record and demonstrable research exposure, including co-authorships and conference contributions.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in relevant disciplines, be within five years of their degree, and demonstrate stays or internships in academia or research institutions.

• 1.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in: Pharmacy; Biology; Biochemistry; Biotechnology or Related disciplines
• 2.Applicants must have obtained their degree within the five years preceding the year of application for the fellowship.
• 3.Applicants are not eligible if they:
  • a. Have already begun predoctoral training funded through other predoctoral fellowships awarded under the Spanish State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PEICTI) 2022-2024 or previous State Research Plans.
  • b. Hold a PhD degree awarded by any Spanish or international university.
  • c. Have previously held a predoctoral contract for more than 12 months before joining the project.

Specific Requirements

• Strong academic record (minimum desirable GPA equivalent to 7.5/10).
• Demonstrable participation in research projects.
• Co-authorship of scientific publications.
• Co-authorship of communications presented at national and/or international conferences.
• Co-authorship of patents.
• Research stays or internships in academic or research institutions.
