Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Zamudio, Spain, is seeking an Electrical Protection and Automation Engineer to operate real-time simulators, perform HIL and FAT, and develop relay settings for GE and third‑party devices.

You will analyze protection schemes across transmission, distribution and industrial sectors, develop test plans, and create comprehensive reports for projects and technical papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Power Systems Engineering; master's preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in protection, control, and automation applications.
• Strong understanding of power systems in transmission and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Execute Engineering & Consulting Projects within the CoE, including schedule, customer communication, scope, budget and quality.
• Perform HIL tests with real-time simulators and Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Analyze and troubleshoot real-time simulation scenarios across transmission, distribution, and industrial segments.
• Develop test setups, plans and cases with relay and controller configurations.
• Prepare test and project reports and deliverables.
• Contribute to technical papers for conferences and venues.
