Siemens PTI is seeking a Power System Consultant to lead dynamic studies and deliver robust technical reports. You will model networks and controllers in RMS and EMT domains, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and travel as required to support project delivery.

The role emphasizes strong communication in English and engagement with cross-cultural teams across Europe. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in electrical engineering with experience in transient studies and power system

Key Role and Responsibilities

• Siemens PTI is actively recruiting a skilled professional for the "Power System Consultant" position, especially for Dynamic Studies (DYN). • Execute and manage power system dynamic and transient studies including network and controller modelling in RMS and EMT domain


• Develop comprehensive and high-quality technical study report and deliverables for our customers


• Collaborate and coordinate with customers and project stakeholders


• Travel to various customer locations, in case necessary


• Contribute to business development activities and power system study project acquisition

Qualifications and Experience

• We are seeking a highly qualified technical specialist with expertise in power system network and the following credentials:


• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field, or an equivalent qualification combined with years of relevant professional experience


• Experience in conducting Electro-mechanical and Electro-magnetic Transient studies for Utilities and Industries


• Experience with power system simulation software (PSS/E, PSS/SINCAL, PSCAD and Power Factory)


• Know-how on writing automation scripts in Python or any other commonly used programing language


• In depth understanding high and medium voltage power system, Power electronics and controls, Renewable generation etc.


• Familiar with various relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE etc.) and guidelines (CIGRE)


• Being a team player with strong intercultural sensitivity


• Strong communication skill for interactions with project stakeholders in both Global projects and local projects in Spain, Portugal and Germany


• Fluency in English (mandatory)


• Willingness to continuously develop and learn new things, enhancing expertise based on market needs in power system consulting business
