Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Performance Energy Engineer to join the Digital Services team in Spain. You will identify building optimization opportunities, develop energy-efficient solutions, and work with advanced analytics, energy audits and verification concepts to meet client objectives.

The role requires experience in plant/control optimization, familiarity with BMS/EMS systems, and English and Spanish language skills.

Formación

• Experience with plant and control optimization in industry and buildings
• Experience with several Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS)
• Strong understanding of technical infrastructure and how to redesign systems for energy, operation and maintenance efficiency
• Knowledge to calculate effects of system adjustments or equipment changes; practical ventilation, heating, cooling, heat recovery, and process optimization understanding
• Fluent English; Spanish language skills
• Background as civil/mechanical/energy engineer with HVAC, energy efficiency projects/services
• CMVP qualification or Energy Manager certification is advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Conducts building data analytics remote audits, analyzes current situation and produces facility improvement measures plans
• Engages with stakeholders to understand energy usage patterns and identify optimization measures
• Assists sales in identification and qualification of potential digital services contracts
• Owns the optimization process from discovery to service delivery including energy audits, cost calculations, design and verification
• Collaborates with Siemens European Digital Delivery Center
• Manages internal stakeholders and service development processes
• Monitors market trends to enhance offerings

The Challenge

As a Performance Energy Engineer, you will identify building optimization opportunities and develop innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption, operational costs, and maintenance expenses while meeting customer requirements and financial objectives.

You'll work with advanced building analytics, energy audits, technical solution design, baseline development, cost calculations, and measurement & verification concepts.

This position can be based anywhere in Spain and requires occasional travel across the country.

Your Responsibilities

• Conducts building data analytics remote audits, analyze current situation and produces facility improvement measures plans.
• Engage with the people in the various industry and building, understand the challenges, the energy usage and patterns, how the plant is operated and controlled, how the plant is providing and using energy within the industry/building, compare the design to what is being used (e.g. as to identify changes in operation) and upon delivering a performance reports, to identify facility energy/maintenance optimization measures.
• Assists sales in identification and qualification of potential digital services contracts.
• Full ownership of optimization process; from discovery to service delivery including energy audits, cost calculations, design and specifications and measurement and verification.
• Close interaction and cooperation with the Siemens European Digital Delivery Center.
• Ensure service development process including internal stakeholder management.
• Active monitoring for new trends and solutions in the market to enhance the offerings.

What You Bring

• Experience with plant and control optimization on industry and buildings market.
• Having experience with several various Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) is highly advantageous.
• You will have an excellent understanding of the technical infrastructure, and technologies and how to redesign existing systems to become more energy, operational and maintenance efficient
• Theoretical background to be able to calculate the effect of system adjustments or exchange of equipment in combination with field experience, i.e. have a deep understanding about the practical use of ventilation, heating, cooling, heat recovery, process optimization, etc…
• Language skills in verbal and written English. Spanish.
• You are most likely a civil/mechanical/energy engineer with work experience in HVAC systems, energy efficiency project and services
• Certified Energy Manager and/or CMVP qualification is an advantage.
