The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) in the Barcelona metropolitan area seeks an experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join a multidisciplinary team. You will lead experimental projects and validate novel therapeutic opportunities for MPN, MDS, and AML, combining in vitro and in vivo approaches.

Responsibilities include designing protocols (CRISPR screens, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN), mentoring junior researchers, and collaborating across teams to advance translational research

Formación

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or related field with ≥5 years postdoctoral experience.
• Accredited FELASA training for working with animals and mouse experimentation experience.
• Extensive hands-on lab experience in molecular and cellular biology, incl. protein biochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry (FACS).
• A background in haematopoiesis or blood cancer biology is desirable.
• Experience with genomic/proteomic approaches and bioinformatics analysis of high-throughput data.
• Experience in loss-of-function screens and drug assays is a major plus.
• Mentoring/supervision experience; strong publication record; excellent English; proactive and organized.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and independently execute experimental research projects with high scientific quality.
• Design and implement molecular, cellular, and biochemical protocols (CRISPR screens, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN).
• Execute in vitro assays using cell lines and primary cells.
• Conduct in vivo mouse experiments following ethical guidelines.
• Maintain mouse colonies and obtain ethical approvals.
• Utilize flow cytometry (FACS) for analyses.
• Analyze data to guide research direction and conclusions.
• Keep accurate, organized experimental records.
• Coordinate day-to-day lab activities and troubleshoot workflows.
• Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Prepare scientific reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
• Contribute to grant applications and new initiatives.
