IRB Barcelona is seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology group led by Dr. Patrick Aloy, to work on Systems Medicine approaches in the CLARITY project.

Viral infections and human genetics inform risk for complex diseases. You will apply AI-driven analytics to RSV data, derive perturbation signatures, and explore links to non-communicable diseases, aiming to identify lead compounds for therapy.

Formación

• Bachelor in Biosciences or Engineering in Computer/Data Sciences.
• PhD in bioinformatics / data sciences / ML or related areas.
• Experience with multi-omics data and machine learning techniques.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Integrate data into embeddings space of the Chemical Checker and Bioteque.
• Develop signatures to define perturbed modules.
• Develop methods linking viral perturbations to non-communicable disease signatures.
• Adapt generative-AI models to design compounds countering RSV perturbations.
