Job summary

IRB Barcelona's Biomedical Genomics Lab (BBGLab) seeks a postdoctoral bioinformatician to lead computational analyses across cancer genomics. The role emphasizes AI-driven systems to scale human‑AI collaboration for uncovering tumorigenesis mechanisms, with preference for experience in using LLMs in RAG/agentic setups.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a biomedical field with strong computational biology background.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning and data analyses.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ability to design computational analyses independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and test computational genomics analyses and interpret results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and external partners.
• Contribute to lab protocols and resource maintenance.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Engage in scientific discussions and dissemination at seminars/conferences.
• Participate in project activities and data exchange.
