IRB Barcelona is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Biomedical Genomics Lab (BBGLab) led by Dr. Núria López-Bigas at IRB Barcelona.
We are looking for a postdoctoral bioinformatician with deep experience in handling and analyzing biological data (ideally different types) to derive robust results. We are interested in a person who is excited to explore the development of AI agentic systems to aid answering biological questions at scale. Specifically, as part of a state-of-the-art international project, they will participate in the co-development of an agentic system to facilitate human-AI scientific collaboration aimed at uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis across different types of genes and tissues. A plus for the candidate would be to have previous experience in using LLMs programmatically, for example, as part of RAG or agentic systems.
The candidate will participate and perform the activities, tasks, and reports within the framework of the project AURORA.
This position is financed by the project “AI-Driven Systematic Discovery of Tumorigenic Mechanisms of Tumor Promoter Mutations” financed by Cancer Research UK, with file number CGCAI2F-Jul26/100010.
