Job summary

The Universidad de Cantabria invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on microfluidics, nanotechnology and biomedicine. The project DTS24/00023, funded by ISCIII, aims to develop microfluidic systems for nucleic acid encapsulation and nanoparticle production, within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will join a team spanning microfluidics, nanotechnology, biomaterials, molecular biology and biomedicine.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering or related field with demonstrated microfluidics research.
• Experience in microfluidic device design and fabrication.
• Experience with nanoparticle synthesis and characterisation.
• Experience with nucleic acid encapsulation and delivery.
• Publications in the field are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimisation of microfluidic processes for nucleic acid encapsulation.
• Development of reproducible nanoparticle production protocols.
• Physicochemical characterisation of nanoformulations.
• Analysis and interpretation of experimental data.
• Preparation of scientific publications and reports.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary research team.
