ISGlobal in Barcelona invites applications for a funded 1.5–2 year postdoctoral researcher position in the Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health programme. The project uses Horizon Europe data to project future health burdens from urban environmental exposures and applies state-of-the-art health-impact modelling.

Formación

• PhD or equivalent in epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, or related field.
• Demonstrated scientific achievement in epidemiology or environmental health; health impact assessment is a plus.
• Experience with statistical analysis and handling complex data in R.
• Excellent quantitative and programming skills.
• Motivated, self-directed researcher able to meet deadlines and deliver outputs.
• Strong organisational and teamwork abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct novel research quantifying future health burdens from urban exposures in Europe.
• Develop projections under detailed, policy-relevant climate-mitigation scenarios.
• Analyse the 1,000-city dataset from the UBD Policy project and model policy impacts.
• Lead statistical analyses and prepare manuscripts for publication.
• Coordinate large health and environmental exposure databases.
• Draft original articles for high-impact journals.
• Disseminate findings at conferences and through scientific channels.
• Collaborate within Climate Action and Health groups and international consortia.
