ISGlobal (Barcelona Institute for Global Health) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in its Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health programme. The role focuses on health burden projections from urban environmental exposures and climate change scenarios, with data from large European datasets.

You will work under the supervision of Research Professor Cathryn Tonne and collaborate across ISGlobal and international consortia, developing policy-relevant health impact models.

Formación

• PhD in epidemiology or related discipline.
• Demonstrated record in epidemiology or environmental health; health impact assessment is a plus.
• Experience with statistical analysis and managing complex data in R.
• Excellent quantitative and programming skills.
• Motivated, self-directed researcher capable of meeting deadlines and delivering outputs.
• Strong organization and teamwork skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct novel research quantifying future health burdens from urban environmental exposures in Europe.
• Lead manuscripts for publication.
• Coordinate large health and environmental exposure databases.
• Draft original articles for publication in high-impact journals.
• Disseminate findings at conferences, workshops and journals.
• Participate in the institutional Climate Action and Health working group.
