CNAG invites highly qualified candidates for a three-year full-time predoctoral contract in computational biology at the Barcelona site. The role focuses on analyzing germline and somatic mutations in breast-cancer genes and building AI-based classifiers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in R.
• Background in machine learning and/or protein structure.
• Mobility rule: not resided or carried out main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.
• Must be a doctoral candidate; not yet hold a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Determine how germline variants and somatic mutations in key breast-cancer genes affect protein structure.
• Build a classifier rooted in AI techniques; this is a purely dry-lab position with no wet-lab work.
