Job summary

nineDots.io is seeking a Platform Security Engineer for a remote (EU) role with a compensation range of $200,000 to $240,000 plus equity. You’ll secure a modern, API-first platform in a fast-moving environment, owning security from day one and enabling engineers to ship securely.

Stack includes AWS Serverless, TypeScript, AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB. If you’ve moved from software to security and enjoy automation over process, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• Experience securing cloud platforms and developer tooling.
• Proven ability to implement security controls in a fast-moving environment.
• Familiarity with IAM, compliance automation and secure SDLC practices.

We're working with a company that's a ship fast mentality and is looking for a shift left persona, replacing decades-old infrastructure with a modern, API-first platform that's growing ridiculously fast.

This isn't a governance-heavy role.

It isn't death by meetings or bureaucracy at every turn.

It's about writing code, securing cloud infrastructure and making it easier for engineers to build securely from day one. Their engineers ship daily and don't get lost in the weeds of problems for too long.

You'll own everything from cloud security and secure developer tooling through to IAM, application security, compliance automation and improving the overall security posture of the platform.

If you've moved from software or platform engineering into security, you'll be exactly the kind of profile they're interested in. You'll be comfortable working in AWS, enjoy Infrastructure as Code and prefer solving problems with automation rather than adding more process.

You'll probably have:

• Strong AWS experience
• TypeScript
• IaC (CDK, Terraform or similar)
• Serverless architecture experience
• A solid understanding of modern cloud security
