TEICON Engineering GmbH seeks a mechanical engineer with strong experience in pressure testing and piping QA/QC to support a major international industrial construction project in testing, documentation and turnover activities.

You will review procedures, prepare Pressure Test Packages, verify test readiness and witness hydrostatic, pneumatic and leak tests across piping systems; collaborate with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, and client reps.

Formación

• You have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• You have at least five years of professional experience in pressure testing, piping inspection or mechanical QA/QC activities within industrial construction projects.
• You have proven experience in the preparation and compilation of Pressure Test Packages (PTC/PTP).
• You are familiar with piping inspection activities, quality documentation and the documentation requirements associated with pressure testing.
• You have sound knowledge of piping materials, welding documentation, inspection records and quality verification processes.
• You have experience with hydrostatic, pneumatic, leak and strength testing of piping systems and associated equipment.
• You are familiar with system completion, punch-point management, system turnover and the handover of completed test documentation.
• You have experience working on EPC projects within the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, Power Plant or Pipeline industries.
• You have working knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping as well as applicable project specifications and pressure testing procedures.
• You are confident in reading and interpreting P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, test limits and Pressure Test Packages.
• You are able to work effectively with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, contractors, clients and other technical disciplines.
• You have a structured, independent, quality-conscious and safety-oriented working approach.

Responsabilidades

• You review approved pressure test procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications and other relevant quality documentation prior to testing activities.
• You prepare, compile and verify Pressure Test Packages (PTC/PTP), including test limits, test boundaries and all required supporting documentation.
• You verify that line walks have been completed, relevant punch points have been cleared and piping systems are ready for pressure testing.
• You witness and monitor hydrostatic, pneumatic, leak and strength testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
• You verify the specified test pressure, holding time and acceptance criteria and ensure that all testing parameters are correctly implemented.
• You monitor pressurization and depressurization activities and ensure that pressure testing operations are performed safely and in accordance with the applicable procedures.
• You inspect piping systems during testing and verify that no leakage, pressure loss, deformation or other abnormal conditions occur.
• You coordinate pressure testing activities with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, contractors, subcontractors and client representatives.
• You witness pressure release, draining, drying and reinstatement activities following completion of the respective pressure test.
• You verify the removal of temporary test equipment and ensure that tested systems are correctly reinstated.
• You review calibration certificates for pressure gauges and other testing instruments and verify their validity prior to use.
• You ensure that all pressure test records, inspection reports, test certificates and associated quality documentation are completed correctly and maintained in accordance with project requirements.
• You monitor the closure of test-related punch points and non-conformities and coordinate the required corrective measures with the responsible parties.
• You raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required and monitor the implementation and closure of corrective actions.
• You compile completed Pressure Test Packages, turnover dossiers and supporting documentation for system handover and client approval.
• You support the proper turnover of tested systems to the subsequent construction, pre-commissioning or commissioning phase.
